Mark Scowen from City Impact Church from North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand
Each column was made from two sheets of opaque plastic (corrugated) (used in roofing) screwed together on the long edge and rolled into a circle. They cut an MDF Base to fit inside the column and fit with LED Cans attached to the MDF. Then they inserted the base into the column and screwed it into place.
Finally, they cut an MDF lid to fit inside the top to hold the shape and reflect the light more evenly and attached that with screws.
The corrugated plastic comes in various lengths from 1.8m to 3.6m and is between $10 and $20 per sheet in New Zealand.
They look like giant glow sticks – Love it!
Love it :)
I love this and I am working on it now.
Hope it comes out as lovely as this.
They look great, how did you make them?
Can you please specify what type of lighting you used? Can lights that can be used in your home or PAR lights for stage use?
