Who’s insane enough to put a train in their church? Steve Mullins from Barefoot Church in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! Check out this over-the-top Christmas stage they created for their series “Unstoppable”.
Most of the construction is 2×4 and plywood. The nose section was molded with strips of plywood then covered with screen and Bondo was applied and sanded. The locomotive sits 13′ tall and 28′ long. They created the tracks from wood and poured gravel between the ties. Risers and rustic barrels helped them create a track-side feel. Awesome!
Holy crap!!! How many man hours?
Wow! That's pretty amazing.
That is over the top!
Hey Pastor Steve from Barefoot here. This build took three guys 10 days to build. Of course there were others called in for painting and tree trimming etc. Definitely the most intense build for us to date. Thanks for checking it out!
It was awesome!!! the lights and sound was like a real train. It looked absolutely real!
