Rotimi Babalogbon from The Elevation Church in Lagos, Nigeria brings us this complete revamp of their stage. (Originally posted November 2014)
Here’s the description of the process from Rotimi:
As at the time we built this set. It was a monumental shift from the sets we were used to in churches in Nigeria. We had limited access to led strip lighting and could barely buy anything online, due to heavy restrictions placed against us in our country. Anyway, this design was for an annual event called Leverage. It was supposed to show the name of the event and also give the church an ambiance that would welcome both the churched and unchurched. It was built from wood, plexiglass, and some stretch fabrics. Total budget excluding lights was about $650. We spent an additional $200 on the utility lights and the cabling. It took 4 days with 4 paid hands and 5 volunteers. By the way, this set was done in 2012.
