Stage Designs

Between the Dash

Jeremy Courtright from Journey Church in Raleigh, NC brings us this all-lights design.

From Jeremy: This is our first all lighting design. We took existing Elation OptiQuad Pars (16), Stage Right Bars (23), ADJ Mega Bars (5), Elation RGBA Bars (4) and new LED Tape light (28). Our uprights were built with lumber (2x6x16 on the back wall and 2x4x7 on the sides) that were supported 12 inches off the back wall. We used 1 1/4″ EMT conduit over a 30′ stretch of the back wall and 14′ on the side walls. 1x2x8 lumber was used to support the channeling for the LED tape light. Using a laser level, we lined up each row.

This style design allows us to have multiply designs in one. One song we will use the bar lights and/or LED tape and the next song we can use the washes and you will not see the lights that are turned off. We are able to match more backgrounds for motion backs on our side screens which allows the set to never get boring over the 3-4 month design.
