Adam Taylor from Casas Church in Tucson, AZ brings us these cool stage panels that look like disco dance flooring.
Adam started with 1.5×1.5″ pieces of wood to build the five square, 8-foot frames. He painted them black, and attached over fifty 2×4 acrylic flourescent light ceiling lenses with small screws and washers (purchased at Home Depot). He then used LED wall washers by ColorKinetics placed 3 feet back behind each square frame. This gave him 4 different color squares in each box.
He also put panels and lights under each band member platform.
He spent 700.00 on raw materials from Home Depot and it took about 2 days to complete.
Wow! I love this stage design. Very cool and modern. I think what I love most though is when I look across the stage there are no cords. I hate cords. So distracting to see a bunch of cables and whatnot running every way. Makes your design that much cleaner.
Thanks for the inspiration!
