Dotted Boxes

Matthias Bender from C3 Hanau in Hanau, Germany brings us these cool boxes.

They build them by layering plywood pieces on top of each other. They started with a piece painted white as the back. Then they built some sides to support a front piece. They routed out holes in another piece of plywood, painted that piece black, then attached it to the front.

Then they added a pixel LED fixture inside to give them a lot of flexibility on lighting. This could easily be done with LED tape around all sides as well.

      Hey Dickson,
You may have to go about building it yourself. You need two 4×8 pieces of plywood – a back piece painted white, and a front piece painted black, with holes drilled through it. If you don’t have the budget for LED Barlights, they said you can use LED tape along the side wall. (Don’t forget plywood for the side walls.)

Hi, really like the stage design. Just wondering what was the thickness of the plywood used?
