Joyce Schonsheck from St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Walled Lake, Michigan brings us today’s amazing design. From Joyce:
In 2023, faced with a tight budget, our community embraced the challenge of creating a meaningful Advent theme—PREPARE. Utilizing donated materials like ribbons, yarns, and foam core insulation, we crafted the word PREPARE as the centerpiece of our worship space.
With white and shades of blue symbolizing Advent and Christmas, a group of women met four times to wrap the letters, creating a visually stunning yet cost-effective installation. Ropes, spaced evenly behind the letters, added depth, and the letters were hung using a braided fishing line.
