Joe Gilley from Hope Church in Tupelo, MS brings us this cool lit design.

Boxes
The boxes are 8 ft by 4 ft pieces of plywood with a 1×6 frame. They are covered by 8×4 Coroplast sheets that are covered with a matte black film with a design cut into the film so that light can shine through. We’ve also painted the sheets before and cut the design out of the Coroplast which works the same way.

Lighting
For lighting I used (4) ADJ 42” Megabars, one in each box. For more even lighting throughout the box, I would recommend (2) for the top and bottom. I then tied them in to our dmx universe so we can color match the boxes with our backgrounds on the center screen.
