Lauren Shorter from Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina brings us these staggered elements.
The hanging pieces were created using gutter guard (you can find them at a hardware store for only a couple bucks/piece).
They laid them out and came up with a random staggered pattern and connected them all with fishing line. Then they suspended each one from the ceiling.
The light towers in the corners were used from a previous stage design – made from Coroplast and wood.
The whole stage cost about $100.
What kind of lights are you using, inside the towers and to light the slats?
LED par cans
Lauren,
Great job! This is a cool and creative set. Keep up the good work for the Lord!

Thanks Steven!
What are the dimensions of the gutter guards? Most of the ones that I’m seeing online are only 6″ wide by 36″ long.
Ours are 4″ wide and 36″ long. We got them from Lowes.
Hi Lauren! Wonderful set! My questions is: Did the coroplast look white without light? or was it somewhat transparent even without the light. I just want to make sure I purchased the right thing. Also, what strength are the led par cans inside the light columns?
What color are the guards?
