Throwback: Towers

Jeremy Framstad from Grace Community Church in Fremont, Ohio brings us this towering masterpiece. (Originally posted April 2011)

They built this set for their series called “Proverbial Wisdom”. They started by cutting out a bunch of silhouettes from foam, then added some sails behind towering trusses. The sails were created using long pieces of poly-stretch pulled at different points. The trusses were lit with LED lights.

Nice job! How did you make your silhouettes stand?

  2. Alice K. says:

Where did you purchase your trusses? The ones we've priced are really expensive. Alice

I usually watch used equipment reseller sites. Ebay is good too. Most of this truss came from an install where the customer never paid the vendor, and we were able to purchase it at half the cost.

For trussing price it depends on size, manufacture and length.

Blessings! What was used to tie the poly stretch fabric to the trusses so it didn’t tear??
