Josh Hubbard from Life Church in Oak Harbor, WA brings us these cool triangle pieces.
Josh made three different triangle sizes (2′ sides, 1.5′ sides, 1′ sides), and then started on the left and attached them randomly across the stage. He attached all the triangles using a pneumatic stapler and 1′ staples.
Before he built tall he made sure he had a good base across the length of the floor by screwing the base into my stage where it touched the top of the stage. After he got the base finished, he just kept building upwards until he felt like it filled the stage and caught the lighting well.
He left all the wood raw and chose not to paint it as the light played well with the geometric shapes.
He used 1×4 material for the whole build. In total, he spent about $400 on wood material and hardware. However, when he was finished with it he was able to sell it in Facebook Marketplace to another church for about $200 and use that money toward their next stage design.
