Rob Merow from Calvary Fellowship Downingtown in Downingtown, PA brings us this winter wonderland window backdrop. (Originally posted February 2015)
The windows were collected over the course of a year from Craigslist sellers/donors for the designer’s wedding, then re-purposed afterward for this Christmas season set.
The window glass was sprayed with Rust-oleum frosting spray. They were suspended by dropping vertical chains, drilling two holes through the wood frame, then bolting each window through the chain links. The windows were front lit with warm/cool breakup gobos and backlit with CB12 LED’s for a variety of frame only/glass only/combination effects.
Behind the wall of windows was a RoseBrand LED star drop which added a final level of depth.
This is by far one of the most unique, creative and beautiful design ideas I’ve seen presented on this site. Nice job!
Classy, warm, creative! Wow! Best design I’ve seen in a long time. So, if you don’t know what to do with the windows, I’m sure I could find storage for them. :)
Simplesmente magnífico
Really, really cool! Very inviting. Where did you get all the windows?
