Stage Designs

Armadillo

Trenton Laffoon from Evangel Church in Hanover Park, IL brings us this awesome textured wall.

From Trenton: We built a free-standing wall with 2x4s and drywall, anchoring it to the back wall. It was built to a proper ratio for our size stage (approximately 32ftx10ft). We already had 2 side screens and a dual projection middle screen that is double wide.

Then we purchased 1x6s to create 3-sided rectangle boxes and screwed them in at the desired angles. The inside of these rectangles should be white to reflect more of the colored light. Then we used a translucent Coroplast (corrugated plastic) that we purchased through a local supplier, to cover the face of the rectangles.
(You can find a local supplier here.)

The outside of the rectangles were painted black to create a subtle divide between these and the panels that we installed. We used 3D walls panels that we purchased from amazon to fill the remainder of the wall.

Then we used an some elation lights we already had to uplight the panels. We purchased small LED lights from amazon to light the inside of the rectangle columns on the wall.
(You can purchase the same lights here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HQJDLTK/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=csdi-20&linkId=af60d33848ed943d184fdfc6210ae001&language=en_US)

The entire design cost us around $1,000, not including the projection or free-standing wall we attached the design to.
