Stacy Sanders from Albemarle First Assembly in Albemarle, NC brings us this fun design for their series, That Ain’t Right.

They’re in the process of making the transition from a fairly traditional stage to a more modern look. Stacy sent their designer a raw sketch of what he was thinking and he created the artwork design to coordinate with the series. They sent those files to their printer and they printed the text/thought bubbles on 4’X6’ sheets of foam core and the background graphic in 15’x4’ canvas. Then they cut out text bubbles.

They installed a few pieces of strut in the ceiling and hung everything with monofilament line. Then they used some uplighting to create depth in front of the banners and to light up the text bubbles, and used an ellipsoidal to light the series title graphic from the front. They wanted to use this large scale to disguise the baptistery in the back.

They didn’t want to put holes in the graphics so they used small paint stirrers and white duct tape.
