Robin Lear from Calvary Church in Dover, DE brings us this cool Christmas look.
This Christmas stage design was inspired by the modern triangle tree trend. They have a fairly large 20×40 stage, so in order to get the proportions correct, Robin designed on Photoshop first.
The tree shapes were constructed with 2x4s covered with luan. The trees were 14, 12, and 8ft tall. They painted them white and used glittery paper for the ‘ornaments’.
The 10ft circle in the center was constructed out of 1/2 birch plywood. Robin projected the image onto it to paint the white band around the edge. The other elements – the star, the words, and the manger – were projected onto luan and cut out with a jigsaw, painted, then attached to the circle.
Hi, It was beautiful; is the width of the base of each tree the same? Thanks
Yes the width of the base was the same on all of them..
Thanks Robin!
This is awesome. Could you post a link to download the graphic you used for the circle stencil?
Robin, if you don’t have the graphic would you be able to provide for us the font you used for “Emmanuel”? We would be so grateful!

Robin,
Do you have any technical drawings for this project? Supply list for materials? Dimensions for the trees? I’m trying to get a cost estimate to “reproduce” this. Anything you can send would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chet
