Mike Gerrells from Mission Hills in Littleton, CO brings us this cool shingle textured design.
Design
They used four 6′ wide x 14′ tall walls with OSB sheets on the face and put white strips of 1/16″ PVC sheeting that was cut into 6″ wide by 72″ long strips on the OSB. They used a roofing nail gun and mounted them like you would put shingles on your house. Once you find a pattern you like just keep copying it until you reach the top.
The center sign was made with 4′ x 8′ black lattice plastic sheets with white foam core letters attached with two sided foam tape. Mike used black aircraft cable to rig it to the lighting grid.
Lighting
They used 8 Elation six par 200s to uplight and down light the walls so they could mix and match the colors. This would work much better with a 48″ LED strip lights but they didn’t have them when they made this set.
On the floor they had 12 LED Chauvet R2 spots and 4 R2 wash fixtures.
