Ashley Dingle from Willow Creek Community Church, DuPage in West Chicago, IL brings us this wafer wall with shatter boxes as risers.
They created this year’s Easter look by renting a wafer wall from Atomic Design. The wafer wall was very easy to install. They had a team of 3 people complete it in about 1 hour. The wall takes color very well, and can be projected on as well as lit. They lit the wall with just a few batten 72s.
They also created “shatter box” panels for underneath the platforms. They were created with Coroplast sheets from Laird Plastics. They had 3 platforms (1) 8×8 & (2) 8×4, and each platform was 22″ tall. Since they didn’t make panels for the back of the platforms, they created 7 panels that were 8′ wide & 22″ tall & 2 panels that were 4′ wide & 22″ tall. It took about 10 hours to create these panels.
They put 1 Martin Stagebar under each platform to light the shatterbox panels from behind.

Looks great! We created something almost identical by cutting these shapes from coroplast and using 8 bookrings on all the sides to hook together. Very strong material and we have reused it in alot of different sets. And when we were finished with it, we just took it apart and stacked all of the squares flat. Not expensive to do!
