Stage Designs

All the Levels

Tyler Lightsey from Highland Church in Laurel, Mississippi brings us this clean and well-lit look.

They started by painting the stage black. Then they built the frames and columns, rearranged their instruments, and took their old backdrop off the wall.

The frames for the pipes were 2x4s mounted on 2x8s with 1/2” PVC. The columns were 4×8 sheets of white Coroplast scored every 1’ then folded and taped with white duck tape. They put them into the bases which were 2×8 boxes. On the back they used a 2×4 instead of 2×8 so they could run the cables to the light in them.

The whole build took three days.

    I really dig this!
Clean, and simple with nice depth.
Plus this kind of set will look amazing with a variety of different lighting designs!
