Stage Designs

Clouds and Peeps

Tyler Mergy from Calvary Temple Worship Center in Merced, CA brings us this stage design with elements from Nehemiah.

This was a design for a sermon series on Nehemiah 6:3 on seven oppositions that the devil used to get Nehemiah to stop building the wall.

They wanted to use the ladder look, so they made a 2×4 frame and attached old pallet wood to it with a nail gun

They also used a hot wire to cut the letters out of 2″ foam. The clouds were 1/2″ foam and was cut with a hot knife. The people where Coroplast. They made all the shapes on the computer and projected it onto the foam and Coroplast, and then traced them.

The cost was $500 including the hot wire cutter. A chain saw was very useful when cutting the pallets up.
