Justin and Angelica Lorenzo from Celebration Center in Modesto, CA brings us this stage design for their series “Get Your Head Out of Your App”.
They found iPhone-style app icons and emojis online and blew them up on posters sized 30×30.
They also found an iPhone stock image (front and back) and printed the image to two 30×60 posters.
They cut cost by mounting the posters themselves to cardboard moving boxes purchased at their local hardware store using double sided carpet tape and a box cutter. This was tedious and took a couple hours for both Justin and Angelica.
They used inexpensive wood easels from a craft store to prop the icons up. The hardest part was putting all of them together and finding ones strong enough to hold the weight and height of signs.
All in all a lot of preplanning and a little work with the mounting. If cost isn’t an issue, having them professionally mounted would be easiest. This was a 3-week sermon series so they didn’t want to put too much cost into it.
