Pallet Bricks

DQ from C1 in Lemont, IL brings us these fun slat walls.

The color scheme and overall look came from their logo and promo video for the series (see below).

They measured and cut eight existing 4’x8′ plywood pieces into multiple planks to create a wood floor like texture. They were then stained and drilled into a frame.

They used their Elation LED ePars to splash different colors onto the slats each week. They also purchased orange and white chinese lanterns in various sizes and hung them over their alcove.

They decided to use their existing fluorescent Christmas icicle light strands and stuff them in buckets. They also stacked two pallets on top of each other and attached a light on top to shine down on the wood and help bring it to life. They created 5 of these and placed them throughout their atrium and covered the front with a poster containing info for each week of the series.

Budget: $400
