Andrew Hunt and his crew from Blue Ridge Community Church in Forest, VA bring us this beautiful use of simple wood on their stage.
To create the lovely towers they used 1/2″ pine attached to the stage with 2×4 braces. Simple and beautiful!

Really awesome Andrew. Great job! I'm already sketching up my stage.
great design
Thanks everyone! I'll pass it on to the team.
Can you give more detail on how you attached them to the stage?
Hi Chris,
We used 2x4s screwed into the back of the panels on one end and into the stage floor on the other end. The large panels had 2 per side and the smaller ones only had one on the outer sides in addition to a 2×4 brace on the inside ends joining the outside ends of the larger panels.
How wide were the boards you used? And how much space was in between? Thanks!
Hey Andrew,
We are wanting to do a wood slat wall stage design similar to this at my church. I am trying to find some more specific information on how to build something like this, what materials are best to use and how to make stands to hold them up. We are totally new to this, trying to make it work on a budget, and just looking for some advice from people who know what to do and what not to do. Any wisdom you can give to set us on the right path would be awesome.
Thanks,
Caleb
